Hamburg/Germany, June 2013 – The fragrance manufacturer Düllberg Konzentra has been awarded first place in the Process Solutions Awards by the Gesellschaft für Organisation e.V. (gfo). Together with intellivate GmbH and their workflow and business process management suite IYOPRO, Düllberg Konzentra won the Process Solutions Award 2013 in the category “Process-Oriented Solutions “. This award is presented annually by the gfo to business process management projects that set new benchmarks in terms of innovation and measureable benefits. Every year, an independent jury comprising experts for business process modelling and optimisation, including the respected GPM specialist Professor Dr.-Ing. H. Binner and Professor Dr. T. Allweyer, recognises the best process-oriented projects implemented by German companies. The 2013 awards ceremony took place in Frankfurt at the Process Solutions Day, which is organised annually by gfo and is the biggest specialist conference for BPM software solutions in the German-speaking region.
Düllberg Konzentra and intellivate GmbH submitted a BPM project implemented on the basis of the online BPM suite IYOPRO. The jury was won over by the approach and implementation of this project, which facilitated “a process-oriented selection process, the evaluation of several industry-specific ERP tools and the process and solution-oriented introduction of a selected tool”. The implementation of the ERP selection process, the evaluation and introduction are process-oriented and follow the PRINCE2 project management method. Particular attention is paid to industry-specific implementation of the operative business processes within the ERP software. The latter are highly specific and complex, as the processes used at Düllberg Konzentra include processes used in the chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food industries.
This highly process-oriented selection process enabled Düllberg Konzentra to evaluate and select ERP software that met the company’s specific needs. The system that was selected is the SAP Group’s ERP system based on the industry template myTDS.Process and implemented by the IT service company TDS. With the aid of this new system, Düllberg Konzentra will be able to secure continued growth, protect company expertise and maintain independence from external consultants. Düllberg Konzentra beat off strong competition, including the Fresenius Medical Group, to win the award. “The jury praised our approach for being outstandingly innovative and future-oriented”, said Martin Gottwald, CFO of Düllberg Konzentra. “We were able to score points with the scope of the existing process models, their detail and the specifications that these models allowed us to make for the new ERP system.”
Hamburg, October 2012 – Essential oils are a widely used ingredient in capsules, rubs and medicinal bath additives, etc. One of the main challenges facing manufacturers of pharmaceutical products is sourcing GMP-quality essential oils. For oils from non-European countries, in particular, ensuring GMP compliance and full traceability can be a difficult task. Recognizing inferior quality can be practically impossible for manufacturers without access to the necessary analysis methods.
Düllberg Konzentra has closed this supply gap: within Germany the Hamburg-based company is one of only a few manufacturers who can supply essential oils produced in compliance with GMP standards and the European Pharmacopoeia. This applies to all 320 essential oils in the company’s portfolio, for individual oils and for compositions.
These high-quality essential oils are manufactured in-house using special filtering and refining processes in state-of-the-art distillation units. Compliance with GMP guidelines is guaranteed through the use of a dedicated GMP room and the implementation of the highest, most sophisticated hygiene and security measures throughout the entire factory. Düllberg Konzentra has ECOCERT certification and can also supply certified organic essential oils.
Hamburg, August 2012 – As the first German fragrance house, Düllberg Konzentra presented the company’s portfolio of services and products at this year’s Beauty & SPA Expo in New Delhi. The show, which is aimed at beauty salons, spas and retailers, took place from 9 – 10 July 2012 for the third consecutive year. It is the biggest beauty show in India.
This year, for the first time, the Beauty & SPA Expo opened its doors for international exhibitors. Düllberg Konzentra seized the opportunity to present the company and its portfolio of high-quality fragrance compositions and essential oils. On the Düllberg Konzentra stand, the company exhibited fine natural essential oils for wellness treatments, including rosemary and lavender, as well as on-trend perfume compositions for shampoos, creams and other body care products.
Düllberg Konzentra was warmly received by Indian customers and was able to establish numerous very promising contacts.
“India is a very interesting market for us“, explained Guido Kaiser (Director International Sales). “The young, urban elite are expanding at an incredible pace and they show an exceptional interest in international lifestyle products. We have already established a very good reputation in the Arab world and we now intend to focus on building our presence on the Indian market.”
The estimated value of the retail market for beauty and cosmetic products in India is 950 million dollars. The cosmetic market is growing by between 15 and 20 per cent annually, almost twice the rate of the European and US markets.
